For all newly built dwellings completed after 6 April 2008 an Energy Performance Certificate is required. The certificate shows a coloured bar chart and banded rating from A - G for the SAP Rating and Environmental Impact Rating.
The Energy Performance Certificate forms a part of the home information pack and is produced from the SAP Assessment. All EPC's are lodged with Landmark on a central register and are valid for 10 years.
Energy Performance Certificates can only be produced by an accredited domestic energy assessor who has been fully trained and accredited. We hold accreditation through the BRE Global, the industry's leading research, testing and advisory body.
For Developers selling off plan, we can also provide a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA). These are indicative of the final build performance based on the initial design information.
