For all newly built or newly converted dwellings completed after 6 April 2008 an Energy Performance Certificate is required. The certificate shows a coloured bar chart and banded rating from A - G for the SAP Rating and Environmental Impact Rating.
The Energy Performance Certificate forms a part of the home information pack and is produced from the SAP Assessment. All EPC's are lodged with Landmark on a central register and are valid for 10 years.
Energy Performance Certificates can only be produced by an accredited domestic energy assessor who has been fully trained and accredited.
